The Andre Reed Foundation was established in 2010 by retired NFL great Andre Reed to help underprivileged children reach their full potential and become responsible contributors to their communities. When Andre was a child, his mom never read to him because they didn’t have any books. Rather than being bitter, Andre was instead inspired to start a reading program for Boys and Girls Clubs called, “Read With Reed”. Andre is using the game of football and professional athletes to make reading cool for kids in all 50 states. Thanks to Andre, kids are getting books and reading at least 30 minutes a day.
