3-27-2020 GIVING BACK MAGAZINE’S “FEEL GOOD FRIDAY” – 10 things about adam welland jewish family service

Together, we can be there for our neighbors and offer much needed relief and vital necessities.👍🏼 These are unprecedented times as our community takes widespread action to limit the impact of the COVID-19 (coronavirus). School and senior center closures mean children, families and older adults, already struggling to make ends meet, are missing out on essential items like free breakfast and lunch and access to reliable childcare. And tens of thousands of people across our community – who have been laid off, furloughed, or are unable to work in order to care for their children or older parents – are finding themselves unable to pay the rent, put food on the table, or fill a prescription because of lost wages.

Jewish Family Service’s Emergency Response Fund was launched to respond to the urgent needs facing San Diego’s most vulnerable community members as a result of the COVID-19 Crisis.
If you are in need of services, please contact JFS Access at (858) 637-3210.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

All gifts, up to $50,000, will be matched thanks to the generous support of Arlene & Louis Navias, Ruth Schwartz & Isaac Engel, and two anonymous donors. We are grateful to Dr. Andrew Viterbi for his $25,000 matching challenge and our generous community of supporters for giving generously to meet the match. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today’s “Feel Good Friday” features Adam Welland and his commitment to the work of Jewish Family Service.
